🦎 **When the bugs don’t bug you… because something else handles it** 😳
After a full day of scuba diving in St. Lucia (5 dives, including a night dive 🐠), we came back exhausted and ready to crash in our beautiful resort room.
Lights off. Silence.
Then my husband says:
“Something is crawling on me.”
I ask (half asleep), “Is it big?”
He says, “Yes.”
🚨 LIGHTS ON.
There it is—a massive, hard-shelled cockroach… ON THE BED.
Cue two adults jumping around like kids, trying not to get tangled in the mosquito netting, while trying to evict this uninvited guest.
Eventually, we won. But sleep? Not happening. Every little feeling = instant panic.
Morning comes… and plot twist:
The cockroach is gone. All that’s left is the shell.
🦎 Enter: our room’s tiny geckos.
Apparently, they had a midnight snack.
Best pest control ever.
Moral of the story:
Sometimes nature solves your problems… just not in a way that lets you sleep 😅
